Blink Respawn 2025

Global Esports in Santo Domingo

In July 2025, Blink Respawn turned Santo Domingo into a weekend-long arena where thousands of fans and more than a thousand competitors packed two halls at Sambil. From Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, Mortal Kombat 1, Valorant, League of Legends and more, every corner of the venue delivered pop-offs, comebacks and storylines that felt global yet unmistakably Caribbean.

How the Action Unfolded

Friday lit the fuse—brackets opened across both halls and the crowd locked in early for marquee FGC sets and community runs.

Saturday was pure momentum: Smash stock trades that shook the floor, pixel-health turnarounds in SF6 and MK1, and nail-biters in Tekken, LoL and Free Fire that had people sprinting between stages.

Sunday became the victory lap for champions—Top 8 blocks stacked back-to-back, chants rolling, trophies raised, and the kind of clutch moments you tell your friends about on Monday.

Latin America’s Gateway to the Capcom Cup

The headline of 2025: Street Fighter 6 at Blink Respawn was an official Capcom Pro Tour Premier, the only Premier stop in Latin America this season. That meant our champion earned an automatic spot to Capcom Cup, with Esports World Cup (EWC) qualification also in play—turning Santo Domingo into a must-win destination for top international talent.

The weekend also mattered for Mortal Kombat 1: Blink Respawn counted as a Pro Kompetition stop, awarding valuable tour points on the road to Final Kombat.

More Than Matches: A Celebration of Community

Beyond the finals lights, Respawn was a celebration—creator moments, side brackets that turned strangers into teammates, and a crowd that never lost its voice. Whether you came for a first tournament run or to cheer a favorite pro, the energy never dipped from doors-open Friday to the last trophy photo on Sunday night.

This Is Just the Beginning

Blink Respawn 2025 showed how far the region has come—and how high it can climb. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back with even bigger ambitions next year. Until then, keep training. Your moment is coming.
